I'm still riding my 98. The speedometer was removed at around 15,000 miles and that was 5 years ago. My sled is probably close to 18,000 miles and the bottom end has never been apart. MOST RELIABLE SLED EVER!!!!

I've ridden it so long, my buddies have been givin me **** for riding such an old sled. Ya, you guys know who you are! It still gets around pretty good with an 800 kit, Power Inc. pipes, gutted air box, and a bunch of other crap.

dirtrider, what 800 kit you running? Big gain over the 700??

It was a kit done by T&D Performance. His name is Dave Daughtry and he's the service manager at Penco Power Products. He's also the same guy that built the mod Viper I posted in the recent Viper Thread.

Huge gain over the 700. Made it a whole new sled.

sledding 008.jpgI have two 600mm -97&98....both have around 5000 miles...97 has been a pain, but still goes....friend has a 700 blue, don't know the year but is a good sled. Not many parts $$$ for the age of the old dogs.

Fabcraft handlebars 4 in riser and lefty. Works shocks all the way around. Simmons skiis too. Most reliable sleds ever built. Keep'em on the mountain!!!:D

Just bought 2 more mountianmaxs,a 97 that needs put back together, but all there with a ported 700 and triple reichard pipes. The other is a 2000 with a unionbay 700 port job triple pipes 159 challenger 2 inch and powder pros for $1500.00 and it,s a really nice sled. This sled is what my son who just turned 11 is getting for christmas and a beeper. He is going to be so suprised. He,s been riding a modded 300 enticer 136 with boondocker nos for the past year, but is ready for a big sled. The other one Im building a tunnel for and putting a 174 on it with a drop and roll all lightweight parts.
