I agree that the edges on my '14 Pro are sharper than necessary. That being said, I can't recall ever slipping off the boards. I have over 1000 miles on mine and my boots are certainly showing wear ( LaCross Iceman boots ) but I can't believe you did that to your boots in 400 miles unless you are completely OCD about snow on your boards. Kick more straight down and less running your boot up and down the length of the board and I think you will have much less damage.

The best thing I did with my 13 and 14 was to remove the boards and take them to be powder coated. I'm part way thru season number 2 at @ 2,000 miles per year on my HMK boots and looks like they will last for years.

20 years ago running boards had zero traction. We put in a dozen sheet metal screws and were good to go. Now your a poser if your boards can't make coleslaw?

My 14 pro rental destroyed my favorite pair of snowboard boots. 4 days of hard riding killed the tread on them. Took me 3 days to figure why the ground was covered in orange bits.

Have to agree, 4 days and my brand new Klim boots look like some peoples after 4 years. No its not from kicking, its from riding. A new pair is required every season, makes for a wet spring when the sole is gone! I slipped on my XP boards and broke my ribs, I have no complaints about replacing boots. Oh and my pants wear out more from the wrong foot forward riding position, my jacket seems to wear out from all the revy pow??

rough life riding a poo.

I've got about 2k miles on 3 sets of Motorfist boots and have no real damage to complain about.
I don't pay attention to how I move my feet around on my boards, but I probably will now.

That's 400 miles? WHAT?

WHOA!!!!!!!

So who do I call to get new boots for free? My PRO boards have trashed my boots in less than 400 miles. This is ridiculous. If this was Chris Burant's board design I think he owes me a new pair of Klim boots!!! I have never had boots wear out like this before.

I have a 2013 model and I love the running boards there because they are not slippery at all. I also tried 2012 model and the running boards were terrible, I could not get any grip from my boots. I have a cheap 160 bucks Castle boots and after 1 season the soles have no damage whatsoever from the 2013 running boards, and I ride almost every day!!!
