We are heading out west March 1st through the 7th to the Frisco area. Trying to get some info on riding spots.

We are setup to stay in the trailer so any location will do.

I go out west every year and stay in Silverthorne. We usually ride Vail Pass, Vail (Red & White Mtn.), and we always take a ride or two up to Rabbit Ears.

From Vail Pass you can go down to Red Cliff and stop in Mango's for lunch/drinks. Last year at Red & White Mtn. there was a lodge that just opened up down in the valley. They had some good food, and a nice place to stop and warm up. The trailhead was a little tricky with a suburban towing a 28' enclosed trailer, but we made it without a problem. Rabbit Ears is IMO the best out of all 3. It is about a hour ride, but well worth it. No stops for food, but we always bring the grill.

Have Fun!

Kinda sounds like Rabbit ears is beat down right now. Vail pass is right in the neiborhood though.

Do you have a road name or parking area where we should go?

^^ What he said. Vail pass parking is at the rest area on the highway.

Red & White is at exit 176, take the frontage road to Red Sandstone road (It is in between a bunch of condos) and head north.
