IMO the painted Black is way better looking, the metallic flake in the paint is nice. From what I heard the grey hood is not as durable either.

I didn't notice the "sparkles" in the black, my wife did! But once you see it, I agree, the black is sharp.

Just my two cents from what I just went through, leave that factory film on the gauge if you plan on putting a screen protector on. What a pain to clean it afterwards.
