I notice that Burant bag on almost every sled picture taken at any show.

They are promoting that big time.

I'm wondering if snow doesn't get to the top of the tunnel, will that keep it from cooling more efficiently?
I know I like to throw snow on my tunnel top when it gets on the warm side in spring riding. That bag system will make it tougher to do.

yah guys were noticing heating issues with powderkegs, and they have a gap for snow and water to run down. These are like a big mat that will act like insulation...... they look neat but we will see how waterproof they are next season.

The profit margin on that bag is likely +50% for the OEM, and another 40% for the dealer. Add a case of VES oil and a cover at full retail, and the dealer made more than they did on the sled. PG&A, and service, is where the money's at in this biz. And that's the why.

Still tough to beat the size and design of a mountain addiction setup. Still room to strap a potato bag of snow on the tunnel with one.

Also, looks like it's a burant bag or fuel can decision there. If you never carry fuel, NP, but if you do sometimes, looks like you'll be challenged to do both, at least on a 155.

Anyone seen this helix before?
I know its a prototype but interesting. :)
Sled has 10-66's in it.
I couldn't see a primary spring #
Interesting that the helix bolts are not gold zinc plated.......
Maybe they are easier to remove?

Thats alot a hard rivets holding the drop brackets and tunnel together. :)

The backside of the drop bracket goes all the way up inside the tunnel.
Anti tamper torx. ;) must be serious!!!

Cute little acorn nuts holding the taillight on.
Must be weld studs since the new cooler crossover is underneath.
Seat/bumper/running boards still held on with regular nuts. :(
I always swap to stainless acorn nuts anyhow.

New bushings are greased.
They are narrower between the bolts so my polzin steering bushings will not work. :(
These have zero slop and do not flex.
I think they might be good enough "stock" as odd as that seems for me. ;)

Just random underhood sledporn.

Sweet new wire wrap material around the handwarmer and thumbwarmer wires.
Also the reverse switch wires.
This should stop alders from thrashing them in cold weather.
The tss and reverse button wires remain in the thicker vinyl that they always have.

Good inner front tunnel bracing.
Basically three layers of metal from the chaincase/bearing retainer to 3" behind the front torque arm bolt.
And then they dimpled all three. :)
This looks bulletproof.

Bushings are super light and tight.

Smooth little oil well on that chaincase. :)

The new spindle front lip and new rubber.

The spindles and rails are as they have been since 14' with a super thin coat of paint. Evidenced by the still sharp edges.
The tunnel however is thickly powdercoated and all the sharp edges show a definite added thickness.

Also the rivets that are coated over are all uniformly wetted into the base metal coating.

The rear section of tunnel also is very beefy with the drop brackets inside the tunnel extending up and back from the rear torque arm bolt, and the small angle riveted to the underside of the flange out.

The 3" track feels about the same as my old style camo extreme 2.5 did while bending the lug tips.
Easily 2-3 times stiffer than the series 4 2.4.
No regrets about choosing the 3".
These lugs look nothing like the x3 camo track.
Front and rear lug towers plus 2 in each row.
Plus way lighter. :)

Thanks for taking the time to take the pics and post them for us unlucky enough to put our eyes on one. Excellent details that I've been wanting to see. You took them of the right color too! What did you think of fit and finish?
Boy it's going to be a long long summer
