Brake issue on RX-1

I have an issue witht the RX 1 in our group. If you apply the brake it sticks closedc on the caliper and won't release. You can pry it open with plyers but as soon as you apply brake it sticks again. The weird thing is after you pry it open you have to pump the handle to get it to fully apply on the caliper? Anyone ever heard of this?

When did it happen
Part way through a ride or at the beginning of the season, Has anything been taken apart lately?
It's possible that the caliper is corroded when that happens you cant really pry the pistons back into the caliper because they are stuck, This usually gives you a spongy feeling brake lever instead of a sticky brake
Is there any clearance between the brake lever and the piston at the Master cylinder?
after you apply the brake is there MORE clearance between the lever and piston?
If so the master is sticky and needs a cleaning
