Y pipe bolts

Just an FYI.

My Y pipe bolts backed out on clutch side. 16xm t3...thought this problem was fixed. Guess not.

better than the XP but sadly, not fixed. And if the Y-Pipe gets too loose, you can burn down.




Use red Loctite on the bolts.

No sure about the metalurgy. I do know red is stronger than blue and we have been using red on the Y-pipe bolts for years. And yes, Nord-loks are a good addition as well.

Loctite and Nordlock washers! If you only do one do the nordlock washers! Talked to a mechanic out of sicamous and he said he has never seen one come back with the issue after he used nordlock washers. Haven't had a problem with mine since either so, so far he is not lying.

Ski doo should sell these sleds with nord lock washers... Y pipe bolts have been backing out since the early 2000's. Maybe even before that.

Just did 2 2015 summits and nord lock all the way ...oh ya not covered under warranty...check them if you haven't yet. Very disappointed they have not got that fixed.
