What are you guys seeing as you start to snowcheck for value on the iq's at trade in time?? I have a 2010 Dragon 155 800 with 1000 miles on it and thinking of trading it in. My dealer is still in Vegas this week. Kind of curious to see how bad it's going to sting when i talk to him next week about snowchecking a Retro Pro Rmk 800 155. The 4 year warranty is what's making up my mind!!:face-icon-small-hap

Somewhere between 3,500 and 4,000 to boot would be my bet.

I had a few dealers tell me that they wouldn't take a trade because the price would be so low on an IQ it would be insulting. Your best bet is to find someone interested in the sled and not do a trade in.

Yep. If they do trade it will probably be around 5-6G difference, if that. Of course it depends upon your dealer, how much He likes you.

i would be suprised if they even took a d8 as trade given the horrible engine issues and the resale is around zero

Not true at all. I sold my 09 D8 for $8400 last year. It had some suspension and motor work as well. It never broke down and would probably beat down my Pro except in the steep and deep. Not all of them were bad motors. Some can be had at a good price. The 4M's do hurt the sell of them though. You'd think they can't run down the street and back by some people's posts. I had 1700 miles on mine.

Well maybe last year yes, but you would be hard pressed to sell one for 6000.00 right now, ask me how we know...lol....oh it blew a piston apart at 1950 miles btw....Also consider that carls was selling new in the crate leftovers (2009) for 8500.00 out the door as well at the end of last year. My friend got one. I really will be interested to see what the dealers will offer on a trade.

Thinking of doing the same here.

560 miles on my '10 D8 with 4 years warranty, but still probably won't get much. Went to dealer today, he also was still in Vegas....

May just snowcheck, and work on selling it outright.

You should have gotten rid of it last year before the pro was available.
My buddy has a 2009 163 dragon with areo turbo and 600 miles with holz rear float skid and dual rate springs on the front ($22,000) Sled looks brand new and he can't get $10k for it.

I just sold my M8 last night for $6k, had I been stuck with it another week, and the new chassis gets released!!!! KERPLUNCK!!!

The IQ chassis is now outdated, I'ld take the first, semi-reasonable offer on it if selling outright, and would put it up for sale now, while there's still snow.

Posted my 08 D8 on the local internet sales site for the lowest price of all the same type of sleds advertized. I got two offers from guys wanting to trade old pickup trucks, and one guy low balling me by $1000. This sale is going to hurt, if I even get it sold !!!

LOL. You guys don't sound very much like salesman. Are you trying to talk everyone out of buying an IQ. Come on. I have an extra 09 to get rid of too. We've got to be positive. They have their virtues over some of the older sleds don't they. What am I asking. Of course they do. I'd take one over an edge or a boat anchor any day. Don't cave in.

Talked to my dealer yesterday. $5200 to boot on trading in my 2010 800 dragon 155 on a 155 pro 800.:fear: 1000 miles on mine. I did some digging and remembered i have another year of warranty on my 2010 though. No new sled for this guy now!!!:face-icon-small-hap I honestly am so happy with mine right now i don't want to get rid of it. after the new flash, the thing just flat out rips!! i rode a 2011 pro and was really not blown away by anything. pretty sure mine runs just as strong now. do i trust the motor?? not completely but that's what my warranty is for!! At the end of day, it's not only the $5200 to boot.... it's the $350 can, Float Plate, and all of at least $1000 more of accessories that won't transfer to the new chassis also!:face-icon-small-sho

10,500 for an assault

So that sled retail's at $12,000 and your going to get for $10,500 that seems like a really good deal to me. I noticed you mentioned something about dealers wanting an extra $400 for the four year warranty! I could see that at this price. So does this $10,500 have a four year warranty?
