Checked right side everything was great, Left side both bolts were just hanging there like someone forgot to do or went to lunch and forgot. Had to take hood off called dealer 35 foot Pounds for each.

they can be checked without taking off the hood. Easiest skidoo I have had to change the front shocks. Ratchet with 12mm shallow socket fits right in there. 13mm on the nut side

That is on your dealer, the shocks come out of the box on the running boards.

Are the boxes/shocks still scratching the toe holds on the new machines during shipping? My 14 Summit had paint removed from the shocks rubbing and my 16 is the same way. Both on the clutch side.

Is it true that you have to pull engine to change a-arms or mount a skid plate? Saw video and pics of two guys doing both and engine was out on both.. Sounds really strange!

Checked not tightened hood has to be removed. Also the nut will just spin the bolt if your not on both ends. Unless I am miss understanding.

Ski doo is pretty good at building and designing sleds that are pretty terrible to work on, but I HIGHLY doubt this.

I took the bolts right out to change my shocks with the hood still on. The ratchet is on there blind but I had no issues at all.

Another quick question, similar topic. Anyone else had their front idler wheels set up like this? The right side is in the front hole, the left side is in the back one?

How is it supposed to be setup?

Mine were like that also.

that is 100% false. i just took my front shocks of 2 days ago. i took the side panels off and you can get right in there.

That is correct. They have been that way on Doo's for many years so the idlers are not rolling over the track rods at the same time, reduces vibration.
