Hey those of you that roof in the high country,
What's the best thing going for a snow retention systems.
I've got a 12-12 roof, 150 lb snow loads, and a hot tub underneath it.

Something with bars I believe, probably four rows of them on this 12 ft section of roof slope.

Google it. A shear sliding plane could form over the top of your retainers, resulting in sliding of most of the 10 feet of snow you are trying to keep on the roof for some crazy reason. Snow retention systems are more for much shallower slope roofs.

No reason to keep it on the roof. (Metal roof I assume.) Move the hot tub.
