1982 bravo 250 headlight out

Hi all,

Was riding Stampede yesterday with the boy - his 1st ride on his (new to him but ...used 1982) bravo 250. Ride up to lost lake was all good, he was all smiles!

Turned around up top and on the way down I noticed his headlight was out. Bulb looked ok, but tried switching out with a new one just to check - still out.
Tail and brake light works ok, everything else seems fine too. Haven't got any further than that. I have the wiring diagram, but I wanted to check in with the group to see if anyone else had similar problem or thoughts before I start tearing into it.
Thinking ground....or wiring.....

Maybe headlight switch? Is it out on both high and low beam?

Hey,
Thanks. Yes, no headlight at all on both. So,...
Replaced the switch (new switch and cable/connector). No joy.
Replaced the voltage regulator...no joy.
Thinking at this point it's going to be:
bulb (maybe I burnt out both?)
CDI (good luck finding one...)
ignition coil (kinda doubt this one)
or...?

I think I might just try another new headlight bulb and see how that goes to start with.....

It was the bulb!
Got a new one in and seems ok now. Will see on the next ride.
