Fast Lane running boards

I put on the raised outside grip strips as well on my fastlane boards. I had issues with ice build up on the outer lip without them. Since the boards are 1/2" taller, it creates a tiny dip between the outside of the plastic on the boards and the outside aluminum edge. Iced up so bad a few times last winter, I had to take a tree branch to knock the ice off since my boots were doing nothing. Not a fan of the rounded plastic knobs on the outside strips though, but still better than ice along the edge. I knock off my boards every time I stop too so it wasn't icing up on the outer edge cause I was slacking with the snow removal.
