Golden area thiefs

I have been a member of the golden snowmoblile club before there was even a club! There was one parking lot @ Quartz, the moguls were 6-7-8ft deep, you were tired before the day begun, needless to say what ya felt like after the day!
I would rather have the moguls and still pay as long as I knew that my truck would still be there intack after a long day of riding! I feel that this is someway the responsiblitity of the snowmobile club to make sure that our vehicle's are secure! there the one's charging us!, there the one's who put in additional parking lots!, they should also take responsibility.
In my opinion, it's a bunch of punk kids, yes punks! that snowboard, and we all know there are no line ups and tons of fresh pow, so if ya see punks on boards tell em to buy a ticket at Kickinghorse Ski Resort, this is our area for SNOWMOBILING, I am sick and tired of seeing these punks on the trails, boaring side to side, carving up the trail, I'm going up there coming down, etc, ya know what I mean! buddy at the shack should tell em this is a sledding area! ya got your own, now beat it!
About 10 years ago ya heard of it happening, but then it was just jerry cans, covers, tie downs, etc... now it's the whole flippen unit, or a sled or two.
The snowmobile clubs have to assume some responsiblity, they have a guy in the shack, toss him some extra $$$$ and a case and I'm sure he would be thrilled.
Get a fricken job, pay your taxes just like everyone else PUNK!::mad:

hey ******* no need to think similar to those in the 1800s and presume that because it's some snowboarders breaking in, that all snowboarders are thiefs.

Quartz isn't a snowmobile area either, it's a motorized (what you do with the motor is all up to you) recreational area.

Also next time it won't hurt to spell check your post so people can understand what you're saying

I'm sick of ignorant retards making assumptions!

newbies????

Good first posts.

WHEN LURKERS GO BAD:beer;

Go back to lurking and leave the beotching to the pros.

Man, you really gotta take it easy on the generalizations. Noone knows (yet) who is responsible for the thefts, could be another sledder for all anyone knows, stories I have heard around town would suggest this is true. Until that is proven noone knows. Snowboarders have a place in the back country just like anyone else, skiers, sledders etc. I rarely see snowboarders getting towed by sleds carving up the trails, more common is tandem riding and descending hills or tree runs that don't usually get touched by sleds anyway. Besides, if they got there first then they can do with it what they want, get your lazy *** out of bed earlier if someone beat you to the goods pal. Talking about paying taxes, your username says you live in Canmore.... your taxes don't do anything for Golden. I hope you shoot your mouth off to the wrong 'punk' on a snowboard and he hands your grumpy old *** back to you.

Get a grip.

I, for one, would like to know where all the responsibilititties are in the Quartz lot. All I ever see is a fat toothless broad holding a can of pilsner as I carve through on my snomoboard, and god forbid she ever got nude and flashed me.

Haha, nice pick up on the titty comment, I laughed at that too - like someone else said, guy needs to spell check before he spouts off.

He can't even get his username correct..

WTF is a poloris?

As for boarders in the sledding areas... Who gives a fug? It is there for anyone to enjoy.

wow dude....you walked into one here. not a great idea posting an uneducated, generalized comment about locals with 'Golden' in the title. Guess what poloris(wtf?), as far as i can tell, most of us 'punks' who ski and snowboard in your 'snowmobile' areas are some of the most highly skilled/trained avalanche folks around here (recreational and/or professional)....yeah, the same punks that will risk themselves to save your sorry azz when you do something stupid here. organize your thoughts buddy.

right on Lava

btw, i am planning to take my daughters' boyfrind to Quartz to go boarding. He has never been on a sled and I think he will love the whole experience. I certainly don't lump the boarders / skiers with the granola eating, capucino sipping tree huggers who are trying to shut down our areas.

Of all the snowboarders I've seen in the backcountry, I've never had a problem with them. Just throwing it out there, I think these jacka$$es stealing and vandalizing people's trucks/trailers etc are probably a bunch of crackheads that see an easy target. Oh and Poloris, the area is open to anybody who wants to use it, not just sledders, so get off your high horse. We're all out there to enjoy the backcountry.

u guys are being hard on him. I bet his truck was messed with and has the rite to be pissed. Here in Idaho if u mess with a guys truck its a good way to get u'r *** hurt. We all work dam hard for what we have and when some *** vandalizes u'r stuff it gets a guy angry. kinda hard to think a fellow sledhead would do stuff like that, but who knows. so, hows the snow up their? were having a great yr for northern idaho. A few yrs ago I found 2 guys in the process of stealing my truck and i was 30 miles from the nearest road. here in Idaho its legal to carry a hand gun in the backcountry, never thought i had to till these 2 drunk, methheads cracked my stearing column. anyway u guys find who's doing this and get them to stop.

So what good would a gun do you? would you shoot them?? LOL
Theft and Vandalism is one thing, Shooting a person is another rambo...

Name is Poloris1(has been a member of sledding club for years and can't spell Polaris?)
Rides a Yamaha? ;)Thinks no one should use his mountains but him? :eek:Thinks boarders are all punks? Sounds like a tree huggin skier to me!( I personally, have nothing against snowboarders or skiers, or even people who ride Polaris's). And wth does getting a job have to do with it?:beer; Why should thieves be the responsibility of the snowmobile club?

i know its diffrent in canada. i never said a dam thing about shooting anyone, tough guy. here in the idaho u steal and vandalize u better run like a guy getting shot at. and oh ya Ramboo was filmed in Hope. never been called Rambo. thanks bud!!

so...... people should leave idaho to steal and vandalize? I'm thinking that if they knew who was doing it, the guys who got broken into in Golden would have taken care of it.

why should it be the snowmobile clubs responsibility ? They collect trail fees to pay to maintain trails, (which is very expensive) not to babysit your gear. Maybe you should slip the guy in the booth a few bills to watch your truck. Dont get me wrong, whoever is doing this b& e crap will get caught, and for thier sake it better be the cops that get him and not a bunch of sledders!!

its probly them polaris guys that are vandilizing the vehicals because all the skidoo guys are out enjoying the day wile there stuck in the parking lot with there broken or blown up polaris !!

So much for them catching the guys, I just talked to a buddy that was there over New Years and they got broken into again, at Quartz. He heard it happened at Silent as well on the same day. I was with a group that got broken into right before X-mas and I sent an e-mail to the Chamber. They forwarded it on to the club but I never heard back from anyone about any plans to deal with it and since it continues, I will not be taking my sledding to Golden any more.
