Been asking around. Is the money spent to get into a gen 4 summit worth it over a nicely set up xm. 163 t3 xm summit vs. gen 4. 165 3" summit. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I have found about a 3k difference between the two!

Never spent time on a T3, but can tell you that the difference between an 850 and an XM is comparable to the difference between an XM and an XP. For 3k? It'ps alot, but worth it IMO.

G4 is night and day better, threw my leg over a g4 in January and sold my xm t3 right away after. All around better sled, dare i say it makes you a better rider. More predictable in everyway, gives you more confidence, which is always a good thing in some sketchy situations:face-icon-small-ton

every penny. came off a 13 154" and went to a gen4 154 and wont even consider riding my wife's '15 154. the sled by itself makes me a better rider. easy to maneuver and me being short the narrow seat and tank, almost dirtbike like, is what persuaded me before even riding one. im 5'8" 160ish with gear on.

T3 is a great sled ....IF....

My 2015 T3 174 was a great sled and would have been very happy riding it another season or two if I had not ridden a Gen4. The Gen4 is truly easier to ride in all situations so you are less tired at to end of the day.

G4 is without any doubt better then the XM, no question about it! I however would say in the XP/XM comparison it really matters what year the XP is. I had an 09 XP with the 2010 skid geometry but 38" ski width. In comparison to the XP I had the XM was a bigger improvement (XP -> XM ) then XM -> G4. At least in the ease to ride and overall impact on the body after a day of riding. With that being said the G4 has many other improvements like the 850 engine which will last much longer with the oiled crank and needle bearings not to mention more power and a much better fit for a turbo. The pDrive is also a huge upgrade being so easy to adjust no longer needing to be removed from the sled which is huge if you go between high/low elevations. Probably a dozen other improvements that could be noted too...

People can tell you it's worth it and how different they are. But it's when you actually ride them back to back that you realize...yup. It's worth it.

Doo it!

Had a G4 out for the day with my T3, swapped back and forth a lot. G4 spanks my T3 in every category. I actually did not expect such a big difference between the 2 sleds. Easy choice spend the coin on a G4.

I have a 2016 T3 165" with Skinz/Rasmussen boards and Helium side panels. Upgrading to a G4 shortly. Would sell it to you what I will get on trade. $8000.00. That's well below 5k less than a new G4.
