Been running Avgas forever , looking to step up to higher boost???

Around here, prices are almost the same between VP110 and Sunoco Standard.

The Sunoco Standard is VERY similar in make up to 100LL. Distillation curves are almost identical.

Comparing VP 110 to Sunoco Standard, IMO VP 110 has some advantages "on paper". Distillation curves much more in line with other quality race fuels, such as Sunoco 112, VP C-12 etc.

So, if the price is the same, I would run VP 110 no questions asked. If Sunoco Standard was $.50-$1.00 a gallon cheaper, I would run Sunoco.

Sunoco Fuel

Back when I raced offroad I ran both in my class 10 car. The sunoco ran cooler and produced more power on the dyno. So that was what I chose to run. 1650 CC Honda Power Plant non-turbo.

best price for 110 octane shipped- thanks

help me save save some time searching for best price, if it is decent , can buy 100-150 gallons. thank u

I'm getting a 2010 m1000 with a boondocker kit was wondering what was better, running av gas or pump with a bit of race gas?

depending on how much boost you want to run

I'm running 10 psi on straight avgas , but can run 12 psi on 110, or 14 psi on 116. If you want to run higher boost run straight avgas. but if you are only running 4-6 psi 91 with a gallon or two of avgas, or 6-8 psi with at least 60/40 avgas to premium. or higher boost , better octane. I like to run on the safe side, at 10 psi from 5-9000 feet. I've never hit my DET sensor.

Those two are a bit overkill, but safe at the lower elevations. I've run 12psi at 9K with zero det. on 100LL. On 14+psi on 110 no problems. One of my buddies accidentally ran 22psi (wastegate problem) on 112 running up the trail for a short period without any motor damage.

I unload at about 4,000 msl- then get up to 9,000

I do not adjust my boost actuator, It is taped up at 10 psi. I could raise it to about 12 PSI at 9,000, but then I need to turn it down for lower altitiude.
