Throttle thumb support?

Ok a while back I posted asking about support ideas for sore thumbs while riding. I have horrible thumbs due to a huge number of dislocations and whatnot from a miss-spent youth skiiing. I can quite litterally, dislocate either thumb by just pushing too hard with it (dislocated my left thumb a week ago quite badly lol).

One idea floated here was the "thumb thing" http://www.ruoutside.com/thumbthing-imp.html. From the picture, it looked EXACTLY like what I needed. Bought one and have no tried it out a couple times... its GREAT for wrist support actually but thumb support? Nope, pretty useless. What looks to be something supporting the back of the thumb in the picture is just more soft material. My thumbs were screaming with pain after only 10 min or riding sat.

So, I'm looking for new ideas... I want something that reinforces behind the thumb so throttle operation is not soley due to thumb muscles, but using the palm muscles / grip.

Has anyone tried the Thumb Throttle II? http://www.nofogusa.com/Thumb Throttle II.htm

Other ideas / suggestions? I appreciated the Thumb Thing idea but in practice it didnt help very much.

JERK!

;) Hahah j/k.

Nah I havent yet, but I hope to soon. better thumb support would also let me hold the bars tighter though on jumps. I've had trouble with the bars getting ripped out of my grip on a rougher landing.
