I had a Engine Tech 900 in a M7 that Ted did for me back in 07...it worked great and ran flawlessly for the next owner for several years. Like most other sled shops, he gets busy so be patient and understand most delays are out of control of the builder...at the mercy of suppliers, unexpected problems and the postal service. Off season is the best time to do extensive mods IMO.

Hey WB,

What is the relationship between Engine Tech and Terra Alps? Is the latter just the name of the shop and the former the brand?

Thanks,

G

Yes, not sure if he is still working with ET, back then he was massaging the ET cylinders and I went with terra alps for his experience with tuning this engine at altitude and I had been around his sleds in the past and they definitely ran strong.

If you plan on riding the 860 this year then I would not send it to teddy. One thing no one on here will dispute is that you will wait longer than expected for your stuff.

My experience is that it took way too long and the workmanship was less than stellar.

I wouldnt send a motor to Ted. Takes way to long. The 860 that Ted built ran like a champ for 2500KM then blew up last spring. The wrist pin caused the whole motor to detonate. I guess you cannot blame Terra Alps for that.

For me if I was going to get a motor built it would be Indy Dan and if I had the cash it would be Carls. JM2C
