My 02 MM700 is in need of a top end kit and wanted to know your thoughts on whether to use stock replacement pistons etc. or can aftermarket pistons be just as good and if so which ones to use. Thanks.

Stock is fine but SPI is a good option too. JMHO

if you want it to last with no problems use yamaha parts. if you want to save a few bucks and then have to do it over go aftermarket
Go OEM, after market is not worth the money savings.

Thanks for the replies. I ended up going with OEM parts. My local dealer worked with me. Did not want to have to do this again. Sled only had 1800 miles on it to start with and I know that it is getting plenty of oil. I would rather burn rich and change the plugs out than go through this kind of work and expense. Thanks again and ride safe.
