Rumors about 509 ??

Ski-doo bought them from Polaris since Polaris already has Klim. Give them a US-based clothing line to avoid US tariffs. This information is based on the direction of the wind at the north pole at midnight last night, so I feel it's solid.

No doubt there is DOWNSIZING going on at Polaris and it's subsidiaries.
Just look at the Quarterly reports to see financial stress.
But a MERGER...

Hmmmmm
Had NOT heard anyone speculate on that....

It makes sense to me ... During times of financial stress, M&As happen all the time to try and reduce operating costs .... So its kind of an easy deal since technically Klim and 509 are both owned by the same parent company to begin with. Instead of operating them as two separate entities, just merge them and eliminate the duplicate positions and products and impact margins by reducing your operating overhead.

If you really think about it, the last five years in particular, Klim and 509 are pretty much selling the exact same products, just with different logos on them. For all intensive purposes, every product 509 sells basically has a Klim counterpart.

Given that the whole industry is in a tailspin right now, doesn't seem to make much sense to keep operating two separate clothing lines as separate entities that are both basically doing the same thing ....

IDK, all that is just me speculating, but it kinda seems like it makes sense.

I can't really see a merger, Klim has been around too long. 509 does seem to be trying to keep pushing more upmarket the last bunch of years though, which is creating competition for Klim, never a good thing in this economy for two companies owned under the same umbrella.

I could see selling 509 off to another company, not sure who would best fit though. Ski-doo seems to be doing well with their house brand, Arctic Cat won't have the capital plus (I Believe) they still own Motorfist. Maybe some other company like Dennis Kirk or something looking to get into the powersports clothing industry.

I’ve had way better luck with fit and durability of 509 gloves over klim. My last pair of klim gloves were so awkward I gave them away.

Maybe 509 will rename themselves 208 cause no one wants to be associated with the state of Washifornia anymore!!
Wasn't there a film company that did 208? There was a minute there everyone was using their area codes....

I kept hearing about "big things" for the past year because of this investor......I wasn't ready for that video last week. Only place I can buy an Airoh helmet from in Canada too.
Any idea who the investor is/was?
All I can see is that Kimpex coming up as a new distributor.
