Rebuilt top end now headlights flash

Just got done rebuilding the top end on my 17’ 800. Fired right up but now the headlights flash. Swapped all the relays and capacitors out for others I had on hand, still flashes. Double checked wiring, don’t see anything. Only does it when the motor is rev’d.

Scratching my head on this one, did the relay go bad while I had it off the sled?

Anything else it could be?

My stator plug has been replaced so it’s not that..

Oops meant - “did the voltage regulator go bad while it was off the sled”

If I rev the sled for a while both the headlight and tail shut off and don’t come back on.

Check that all ground connections are secure and making good connection.

Good call, i didn’t double check them.

Grounds cleaned and reinstalled. No headlights or tail at all. Gauge works and indicates the high beams are on.

New regulator and problem remains.

About to tap into power and run a lead to the headlights.

Update- Replaced wiring harness and it’s fixed, not sure the exact problem. 3rd time I’ve replaced the harness, first two times the TPS stopped getting voltage.
