Yeah in my county the police are already preparing for budget cuts. It doesn't take protests as they haven't happened in this little county. The writing is on the wall. The money should go to helping people, not enforcement and buying military equipment.
The tide is changing. The well armed militia should be us and not the law enforcement. People should not be jailed for petty crimes because they are poor. The next institution to come down are for profit prisons.

Your car analogy is not going to work. You can't just quit on a broken country and get a new one. You have to fix it. The people have spoken and want change. The momentum is there so why not fix it?
