Kool-Aid and I did our final ride of this season today at Yuba. Snow conditions were about as good as they could be. There's still 18" or so on the trail out of the parking area and we found three, maybe four feet up at or above 7500'. It was a short day, only 15 miles. The snow was set up but not frozen so traction was decent. It was quite warm; we could have ridden without a jacket. I bet most of that snow will be gone in a week, ten days tops.
Here's to hoping the 2025-2026 season is better. This three month riding season crap is ridiculous. Can you believe they CLOSED Sonora for snowmobiling as of April 26th? I'm certain there's still plenty of snow up there. What a load of crap. If there's 18" at 7000 at Yuba there's bound to be a LOT more at 8500-9000 around Leavitt Lake. F'ing greenie BS.
Anyway, here's a giant middle finger to this season AND last season. And to the people that run the "Bridgeport Winter Recreation Area."
