Is a float plate worth it?

Is it worth the extra weight to have these on? I got a brand new one cheap but its not the right color. Its blue. I need a red one. Not sure if they really do much. Thanks

By float plate do you mean a skid plate? If so then yes they do a whole lot. There have been many things that have been hidden under the snow early in the season that had I not had one, would have wiped me out for most if not all of the entire season.

What kind of shape is your blue one in? I. Have a nearly new red one on my xcr id consider trading for a blue one.

The plate I have has never been installed. I got it from a dealer last year that was selling off all its stuff cheap because it was closing. I never did get around to putting it on.
