What is better at holding under high heat?
I gota find an exhaust leek, pull off the turbo, change gaskets and put it all back together in one night to ride the next day..
I think rtv will take too long to cure? Any way to speed it up?
I wana use one of these on the header to head gasket and on the header to turbo gasket.
Any other products out there that fit the bill??

Kevin

they make a exh epoxy that finish cures with heat but you will never get it back appart clean

can;t ya just let the gasket do its job..??..a gasket should hold 16 lbs easily if it got the proper tension evenly..

While your digin holes on the other side of the world we're having the best riding of the year. :face-icon-small-hap Solid sun and 12 degrees, sunburns and hangovers Ha Ha

Gaskacinch is not a sealant, it is an assembly aid intended to hold a gasket in place while the parts are assembled. What type of gasket are you using? Embosed steal, fibre, fibre with fire ring? In any case if the joint wont seal with just the gasket then you have a problem, warped flange most likely. An RTV with a copper addative will help, for a while, but it will turn into crispy kritters after a day or two, especially on a turbocharged engine. But, might be enough to get you through the weekend.

I'm not even sure where the leak is as it only showed itself on a long long pull?
could be as easy as a re-torque...
One day to get it band-aided up the next day is a big ride!!!
