DYNOJET + Yamaha Information

What a cool year it is for Yamaha riders. A lighter mountain chassis and the ever-potent 1049cc engine is a great combination that is a thrill to swing a leg over.

Dynojet's involvement with the Yamaha brand traces far back into the AMA sportbike lines, and our Full sponsorship of all Team Yamaha Factory snow riders has been a massive benefit for us. Developing new gear, tuning mod machines, and watching racers climb onto the podium is a joy for Dynojet. For any Yamaha sled, we have a pile of products to suit you in stock or modified form.
The Viper is the latest craze and received our full attention as soon as it hit the market. We offer a PCV to provide you with all the fuel control you need with 10 throttle position adjustment combined with up to 250RPM increment precise resolution. Store 2 maps inside the PCV switchable on the fly and add any accessory including Autotune to keep that AFR right where you want it each and every day.
New for this Viper is the Power Commander Fuel Controller or PCFC. This bare bones unit keeps all of the tuning ability of the PCV (and accepts Power Commander Maps), but we cropped out the accessory-ability in this lower price point unit. How much lower?? It has an MSRP of $249…yep. You get everything you want in a plug-n-play fuel controller to go ride knowing the map is tuned for your exact machine and will run just how you want-- for $249

Turbo Vipers are also hitting the OE and aftermarket lines with force this year. The PCV-PTI provides all the precision fuel control you'd like off and on boost via an included TMAP sensor. This even enables fuel trimming based on varying charge temps too! What's under the hood of those RMSHA Yamaha turbocharged Mod-sleds? Dynojet gear to help develop insane throttle response and rocket through gates under arm stretching boost. Climbing aboard one of these special sleds after the Crazy Horse hillclimb illustrated how finely tuned and powerful that platform can be.

Apex, Nytro, and Phazer machines can utilize the above described PCV, PCFC, or PCV-PTI as well. Also, these sleds can add an Ignition module to the system to take control of fuel and timing! Adjusting timing based on TP vs RPM or TP vs Boost in turbo/supercharged applications opens fine tuning options to perfect the operation of your sled. With fuel/timing control we can also raise your Rev Limiter and utilize a launch control feature!

Lastly is the new POD-300 Display accessory to pair with all PCV devices. This product replaces our LCD-200 and has been fitted into a platform to satisfy the needs of us hard-core sledders. We’ve kept all the cool stuff such as real time gauges, In-Field fuel trims to the Low, Mid, and Hi regions of the map, and Datalogging, but we’ve made this display visible in direct sunlight, removed the color touch screen, added programmable warning lights, and best of all – made this thing weatherproof to withstand each and every day of winter time use. Weatherproofing also meant altering the cable connection – and we’ve swapped to a robust, overmolded CAN connector to provide a solid click fit. Oh – and this little gem retails for an even lower price of $249.

For more information, a post in the General Forum outlines our happenings for the entire snow industry across all brands.

And as always, I'm available to answer any questions you may have or visit our website at

TJ,

Been trying to get the rev limiter raised on my 2014 Viper as the power curve is still making power past the rev limiter. This was proven while racing on asphalt. You have mentioned that you can change the Rev Limiter with the Ignition Module, but I have been working with Thunder Products, Evolution Powersports, One Stop Performance and they are all having a difficult time raising the Rev Limiter. How does the ignition bypass the ECU?

Sent you an email but thought I would post something here as we are looking to do testing before the Magazine Article and would like an answer on this soon.

Right now I have the PC5 with Autotune on the sled

NOS-PRO,

Pairing PCV's with Ignition Modules (Or running a PCV F/I with Fuel/Ignition control in one box for single/twin cylinder vehicles) gives us full control over the fueling through the injectors, and spark timing of the inductive discharges. Our Rev-Xtend feature is available where we have this degree of control, and have been doing it ever since the PCV was released.
Unlike trying to reflash/hack into the timing curves in the ECU to isolate where the Rev Limiter kicks in to shift it around, We take over events prior to the stock limit with a known pulse and continue out to our new specified value. It's a pretty cool feature that proves very useful in the case you mention, and is wildly common for V-Twin Motorcycle owners....HD riders absolutely love the Rev-Xtend Feature.

Thanks for the question!
