A little birdy told me that D&D's 901 big bore kit with twin pipes can turn your M8 into a 190+ HP monster. Twin pipes, silencer, boreing, pistons, head, fuel controler, anything i left out, all for around $3500. anyone else hear anything? This could be a good one.

For $10,000 I'll give ya the orange piece of snot and you'll have what yer lookin for. Machine has half decent mechanic.

200hp

I seem too recall that it's impossible for a twin cylinder too achieve 200hp? Was a hot topic on the old site, when every big bore builder was spouting 200+hp on their builds. Just depends on the dyno operator I guess.;)
Maybe thats why they are only claiming 190's! Before I put down any cash on a big bore I definately would like to see a Dyno sheet, a money back thing would be good also if my engine didn't make the advertised hp.

I seem to recall someone saying on here somewhere's that the D&D 1200 kit on the m1000's was pushin' 225hp and I think they are a twin cylinder......

HP

Same was said about the 1160 BB's. If I recall there was something about volumetric efficiency, or piston speed in a twin that would not allow them to hit over 200hp. This is naturally aspirated also. Triples are more efficient and easily make over 200hp. But at 2:20 am the mind is a little foggy.

200 hp?.....i don't know.....as a point of comparison, on my 865 cc kingcat, i had full port job (cases and cylinders) by a good engine builder, 140 lbs cranking compression, twin pipes etc......178 hp@8200 rpm....my riding buddy had about the same set-up, but worked the pipes and ran 8700 rpm and could out-pull me about anywhere....don't know his hp, from the way they compared, i'd say about 10 hp or so.....the difference to me was that with his high rpm, he put in 3 cranks in one season.....i guess i'd want to know what the operating rpm of that engine might be
