Had a lot of people calling and emailing me, I talked to Tim at Lake Easton state parks, They will officially open the snopark gates this Wendsday, Dec 1rst, Probably wont be plowed till friday, but trying to find out for sure,
This is good timing. My wife and I are planning out getting out tomorrow, I think we'll hit Stampede instead of Gold creek.
How deep is the snow in the parking lot? Fairly easily manageable with 4WD and decent snow tires? At 2400 ft, I didn't think it would be all that deep yet (snotel only says 21" at Stampede pass).
I think alot changed since yesterday, Yesterday you could drive right in with good tires ect, buts it's snowing hard up there right now, had a friend who went over the pass this morning, I have a call into state parks to find out about getting the lot plowed tomorrow, stay tuned,
