SO YOU THINK YOUR TOO OLD EH??
64 year old
Faron Gilbert on his way to the top of the Jackson-Hole Hillclimb Championships. Everyone was stoked.

Rumor has it he’s THE OLDEST RACER to make it to the top in the events 47 years.

There were at least 4 classes today where a single racer from that class didn’t make it to the top.

Nice work, Faron.

I learned later he was also won ‘racer of the year’ at the awards ceremony as well !!

I turned 72 1 month ago and rode Blewett pass 2 Saturdays ago and Stampede 2 Sundays ago and still going strong, if we are not on our sleds in the winter we are on bicycles in the spring, summer, and fall, 15-40 miles at a time, we don't quit doing the things we love because we are getting old, we get old when we quit doing the things we love., that's just the way I think, remember use it or lose it.

I'm 54 and still leading most days. Rarely ride with anyone my age and really enjoy the challenge of keeping up with and occasionally outriding guys half my age.
45 years riding and expect to get at least 10 more!

71 and broke two ribs a month ago up on Lion Rock out of Blewett Pass. Didn't steer far enough away from a wind-formed tree-well and drove my KTM500 XCW-F Yeti snow bike into the well, where a log across the bottom, caught my forks and abruptly stopped me. Probably doing 7 -9 MPH at the time. No damage to the machine, but that brought my snow motorsports season to an end for this year. Was cresting the hill and couldn't see the tree well until I was on the edge of it. I ride Polaris 2016 RMK Pro 155 up there too. No way I am giving it up. As previously stated, keep moving, the hiking and biking are important.

turned 72 5 weeks ago, put another 50 miles on the odometer st Stampede Pass yesterday, what a beautiful day it was, today 20 mile ride on the bicycle, and back to work Monday, got to keep these old bones moving, and sitting in front of the tv on my a$$, pumping aluminum just isn't doing it for me, again use it or lose it

Turned 51 & ride with mostly mid to late 30's people. They usually run out of steam before I do. Helps that I mtn bike in the summer to stay in shape. New sleds really help as well. Less effort needed.

I’m 59 and rode over a dozen times this year on my new to me 800 RMK PRO 155. Carving and boon-docking with all ages. Having a blast! Winter mix it up with powder skiing. Also keep in shape off season mountain biking. Few older guys in our club carving like pro’s❄️🛷

I'm 64 and still getting up to the hills to enjoy the snow and riding with friends. The best part of sledding this year was being able to ride during the week now that I'm retired! Nothing better than sun and untracked snow!
