Arctic Cat Synthetic APV oil

$54.95 Can.per gallon at our local Cat shop[Kamloops}.I have used Amsoil for years in my 125 cube Harley motor,my Cummins, and sleds.I think its great oil and smokes and smells less

I run Esso outboard oil never had any problems power valves seem to stay nice and clean. This stuff is about $20 a gallon.

been running citgo sea and snow for years. power valves are WAY cleaner than APV and it is only 11 buck a gallon. That is the oil supplied on the iron dog also. I have a buddy that has been running it for ~10 years in ~ 20 different sleds with a couple thousand miles on each sled.. No issues.

i think you're gettin screwed. I don't pay any more than $32 per gallon for the apv and last year i was buying amsoil for $25 per gallon. and that is from the local dealer

I was paying 28 bux, until this last gallon I bought

the prices have shot way high, when was the last time you bought a gallon?

My M7 has been on Blue Marble since it's first refill and my M8 has never seen anyhting but! No problems, good power valves and ok price. I live in Can. and I will not pay $54 for a jug of AC oil. I'm pretty sure they don't own the well anyway.

ive used amsoil for 4 yrs , no engine failures but i do get thick carbon buildup on the power valves. i dont understand y i get deposits on the valves cause the oil is synthetic no patrolem in it

Which AMSOIL oil are you using? HP Injector? Interceptor? Dominator?

I run AMSOIL in everything i own can only say good things about it. I think the apv smells when riding behind someone that is running it no smell from the AMSOIL.

I just got the lateste Cat Pride. In it a $5 off coupon on a gallon of APV Synthetic 2 stroke oil. Not sure it changes a thing, AC / dealers are taking it to their customers with the oil. My bud is now on his second season using AMSOIL with no problems and clean power valves on his M7 (stock).

one more vote for amsoil.4000 hard miles on oe f7 and still see the crosshatching in the cyls,

Another for amzoil, 2800 miles on my 1000, I've never had to clean the powervalves. My M8 had over 2k also, and no problems. I can't imagine paying what some folks pay for oil, I ride too much to waste my $$ like that!

I use Amsoil in all my equipment. I have run it on my last 3 sleds. It works great and it cost less than the Cat stuff. Alot of margin in the Cat oil. Amsoil pours at a very low temp. and holds its intregrity at very high operating temps.. My power valves are always clean. Sleds, cars, trucks, boats, bikes, it is good for about anything.

klotz

nobody runnin klotz???? i had over 4000 mileson my m7 and no problems and only cleaned the powervalves after i did a small port on that sled...rings were crome and the cyliders still showed the cross hatching from the factory.....:D

a big plus is klotz smells great..:beer;

plus i only pay about 30 bones for a gallon...

I bought a drum of Klotz Synthetic for my 05 m6 and m7. If you dont mind cleaning the power valves once at the start of the season it has worked well for me. 35 gallons $804.

Cheers

My pa and I went in on a drum of penzoil semi synthetic snowmobile oil many many years ago, and never had an issue running it in our T-cats and my brothers poo 800.
My bro and pa went to cutler big bores and started running amsoil.
I ran APV oil for the first year in my 03 f-7, then switched over to the penz. I saw very little diference between the apv and penz, so stuck with it... Povervalves seem to be about the same, and I replaced pistons at about 2500 miles, and have over 7000 miles on it with no issues.
I still had about 15 gallons at the start of this year, so once the first tank of apv was gone in my M-1000 sp, I started running the penz... I have not pulled the powervalves yet, but have over 500 miles and sled runs great.
For less than $13.00 a gallon, I cannot complain... After I burn up the penz, I may run ams, just because my pa is a dealer and has plenty on hand at all times.
I have also heard of people running non apv oil in apv sleds with no issues.

The hubby and I run Blue Marble in both of our sleds. I'm right at 4000 miles on mine. Good stuff! :)

one more vote for amsoil.4000 hard miles on oe f7 and still see the crosshatching in the cyls,

im with this guy a 100%, valves stay nice and clean and i also have 4000+ hard miles on my red 03 F7 and 6000 really hard miles on my green 03 F7 and not an itch.

You can buy it for $34 in the twin cities.....

Go to Country cat up in Sauk Centre. They have it for $34.95 a gallon... Or a good dealer will match their price if it is closer to you. I live in Washington state, I moved here from Apple Valley MN. I still use Country Cat for the majority of my purchases because they are wonderful people to deal with and have great prices. A lot of good opinions here about which oil to use. Use what you want, but instead of paying $40+ for the oil of your choice, save some coin and go to Country Cat. Just another solution.......

What kind of AmsOil are you running? I run hp injector in my quad and was thinking of using it instead of the $ 54.00 a jug APV?

What kind of Amsoil are you using? You need to be using Interceptor for power valves if your not already. I run Amsoil in everything i have snowmobiles, 4-wheeler, boat, chain saw, leaf blower, vehicles and never had a problem with it. In fact my son ran 1 1/2 tank fulls of straight gas through my Stihl leaf blower and it didn't seize up. Drained the fuel and checked compression, etc... and it still runs like the first day i bought it.
