Crossover Lineup

More Power and More Choice

Arctic Cat® has redefined the crossover category with the RIOT line of premium snowmobiles that offer innovations and technology for the ultimate crossover ride experience. Built to take on the trail and handle deep snow, RIOT offers the ultimate crossover ride experience thanks to its masterful blend of DNA pulled straight from M Series and ZR® models. This year, crossover enthusiasts get more options with their choice of engine and suspension packages and adrenaline junkies will rejoice with the addition of a turbocharged RIOT.

RIOT
Arctic Cat brings turbo back to the crossover market with the introduction of the RIOT 9000. The perfect mill for on- and off-trail, the 9000 series engine offers a confident and exhilarating trail experience while giving the RIOT 9000 an extra boost off-trail. The vehicle comes standard with electronic power steering (EPS) with variable assist to maintain light steering input. The EPS provides higher assistance at lower speeds for easier steering, and decreased assistance at higher speeds so the rider can feel and react to the terrain. The EPS makes the vehicle nimbler when carving or racing around corners while reducing rider fatigue. The addition of the 9000 gives crossover enthusiasts two engine packages to choose from for the RIOT:

  • The C-TEC2 794cc, 2-stroke 8000 Series with 165-class horsepower
  • The C-TEC4™ 998cc, 4-stroke 9000 Series DOHC Turbo Triple with 200-class horsepower

Along with their choice of engine, riders can also choose from three suspension packages:

  • IFP shocks
  • FOX® ZERO QS3
  • Arctic Cat’s ATAC™ revolutionary on-the-fly suspension with FOX ZERO® iQS rear-track shock and ski shocks.

The RIOT models are the perfect blend of crossover performance thanks to a combination of the ARS II™ front suspension and the CROSS-ACTION Rear Suspension. The uncoupled CROSS-ACTION suspension provides excellent bump absorption and cornering on the trail, and great weight transfer off-trail that gets the front end up with every hit of the throttle. Track choices include a 146-inch Cobra™ track with the option of a 1.35-inch or 1.6-inch lug.

The ARS II front suspension comes straight off the racetrack where it redefined what precision control and big-bump comfort are all about. Other key features adding to RIOT models’ signature 50/50 blend of crossover versatility include the all-condition predictability and deep snow flotation of the G2 ProClimb™-7 skis with molded boot traction, a laydown steering post like ZR models, the mountain seat and an adjustable 41.5- to 43.5-inch ski stance with sway bar.
The RIOT models are available in Black/Green or Black/Fire Red. An accessory kit includes front bumper, handlebar bag and rear storage.

RIOT X
The RIOT X, featuring the ALPHA ONE Single-Beam Rear Suspension, is the perfect sled for the crossover rider who spends most of their time in the deep snow. The sled features the 8000 series C-TEC2 794cc, 2-stroke with 165-class horsepower. For Model Year 2023, riders have their choice of three different suspension packages: IFP shocks, FOX® ZERO QS3 or Arctic Cat’s ATAC™ revolutionary on-the-fly suspension with FOX ZERO® iQS rear-track shock and ski shocks.

Built on the Ascender mountain platform with an industry-leading approach angle and narrow bodywork, the sled uses the lightweight Arctic Mountain Suspension™ (AMS) in the front featuring mountain spindles and geometry for easy carving in deep snow and on hardpack. Its adjustable 39.5- to 41.5-inch ski stance and vertical steering post deliver excellent side hilling capability and confident handling in a wide range of crossover conditions.

In the back, the 146-inch ALPHA ONE Single-Beam Rear Suspension is constructed from extruded aluminum and lightweight magnesium. It runs in the middle of a Power Claw™ 2.6-inch ALPHA paddle track featuring an aggressive off-trail, all-snow condition design with a 2.86-inch pitch and unique internal-track construction. The result is the perfect combination of a light and stiff suspension that sheds snow, coupled with a purpose-built 146-inch track that bends and conforms to the terrain. The crossover track length provides improved traction in any snow condition, so the RIOT X excels at carving powder turns and staying on top of the snow.
For Model Year 2023, the RIOT X is offered in Black/Green and Black/Fire Red. An accessory kit includes front bumper, handlebar bag and rear storage.

All 2023 Arctic Cat snowmobiles will be available for pre-order during April 19 – May 3. • Precision oil injection
  • Exceedingly robust and lightweight design

ADAPT CVT System
Arctic Cat-designed drive and driven clutches allow for increased performance and better serviceability. With a lighter weight, more narrow design, and an advanced idler system, ADAPT maintains constant belt tension throughout the ride—resulting in minimized wear, longer belt life and smoother power delivery at slow speeds. It also features throttle response that won’t fade over time for a more consistent performance.

FOX® 1.5 ZERO QS3 Coil-Over Ski Shocks
Built for any terrain and riding style. The premium FOX ZERO QS3 shocks are 1.5-inch diameter.

ATAC On-The-Fly Suspension
Switch between soft, medium and firm suspension at the push of a button, with handlebar-mounted controls that automatically and immediately adjust the suspension FOX ZERO iQS gas shocks.

FOX ZERO iQS Shocks (ATAC)
Featuring three compression settings (soft, medium and firm) that can be easily adjusted with a push of a handlebar-mounted button, FOX ZERO iQS shocks are built for changing terrain. Their remote reservoir delivers fade-free runs, while coil-over springs even out the bumpiest of rides.

G2 ProClimb™ 7 Mountain Ski
This lightweight ski is contoured for easier steering and integrates with the AMS spindles for better deep-snow performance.

Power Claw™ Track
Power Claw Track is built lightweight, with a single-ply design and a 3-inch pitch to master deep snow runs. Its stagger-set, curved-forward paddle towers won't fold over or take a set, and Attack 20 paddles provide floatation over the deep stuff.

Reinforced Running Boards

Big air means big impact, which is why RIOT's running boards are reinforced with an extrusion for added rigidity.

RIOT X

ALPHA ONE™ Single-Beam Suspension
The single-beam rear suspension unlocks more maneuverability in the backcountry.

AMS Front Suspension
The Arctic Mountain Suspension is tailor-made to maneuver in deep snow. The lightweight, forged-aluminum spindles sit at a 27-degree spindle caster angle, providing optimal ski camber for off-trail cornering and more predictable counter-steering when side-hilling. They’re built to reduce drag, while the dual-phase alloy-steel A-arms are lightweight and durable.

Adjustable Ski Stance

Easily adjust ski stance from 39.5 to 41.5 inches for maximum adaptability.

RIOT

CROSS-ACTION Rear Suspension
The CROSS-ACTION skid frame creates a playful ride quality, with more weight transfer during acceleration, great performance in deep snow, and outstanding comfort and traction in rough terrain and all snow conditions. Arctic Cat’s Torque-Sensing Link allows a lower and more consistent track tension, plus an adjustable spring preload and a 3-wheel rear axle assembly. The CROSS-ACTION suspension offers 13.5 inches of travel and comes in a 146-inch length with ice-scratchers.

ARS II Front Suspension
ARS II gives better bite on corners and increased ground clearance to deliver more confidence on- or off-trail. The forged aluminum spindles are 1.5 inches taller from the ski to the lower arm and have rigid upper A-Arms. Plus, a revised geometry delivers a new roll-center and adjustable cambers, and a sway bar makes for flatter, more predictable cornering on hard pack trails.

Electronic Power Steering (9000 Model)
The first EPS found on a turbocharged high-performance sled for added comfort and agility. Calibrated with variable assist to maintain light steering input, the EPS provides higher assistance at lower speeds for easier steering, and decreased assistance at higher speeds so the rider can feel and react to the terrain.

Adjustable Ski Stance

Easily adjust ski stance — from 42 to 43 inches for maximum adaptability.
