Adding 12v battery to 09 Dragon IQ 600 for GPS?????

Good evening ladies and germs! I'm toying with the idea of adding a small 12v battery to my sled so that I can run an aftermarket GPS. I'm in the design stage and was curious if anyone else has already did a mod like this. I wonder if a battery constantly hooked up to the 12v acc power output it would cause an issue when the sled isn't running.

Any and all input is appreciated!!!

2009 Dragon IQ 600 is my current sled, efi, etc.
