I think I sucked a reed petal through today-anyway it popped and the sled will barely run now. I haven't tore into it yet, but that's my best guess. I have TDR reeds on it now- anybody had better luck with anything else?? Or do I just need to change them more often?

No problem. I am going to try a set when I need to replace mine. I just ordered them to have on hand.
