My instrument cluster was blinking off yesterday never quit running though. I have had it do this when idling poorly because of engine issues. However idling really nice after rebuilding. I am leaning towards voltage regulator. It was pretty warm riding and wondering if heating up under cover. I had regulator go on me one other time but the engine died I restarted it died again and then I smelled burning electrical and fried ECU.
I also had engine light come on while riding go into limp mode yesterday. Really bumpy rough riding. I stopped opened up good let cool off and no problem finishing riding for.
So thoughts is it regulator on way out bad ground or something else?
