Just wondering if anyone has or is developing a S/C kit for the 1100. With all the non turbo 1100s that aren't selling, making a kit might be an idea. Reason being is cost. New 1100 non turbo 9000$ + S/C kit for 5000$ and should give about 250+ hp.
New 1100T 14000+ Evo kit with extras 4000$.
See what I am getting at.
If this has been done and wasn't such a good idea let me know. Just putting it out there as a what if question. I thought Speedwerx was working on something. Might be a good place to get rid of the ones they tried to sell for 2 strokes that we never heard much about.

The problem with starting out with a non turbo 1100 is all the hardware that you have to get. All the plumbing, intercooler, etc etc. Not to mention the ECU is different and you would be missing all the boost controller sensors.

Get a clean low mile used M1100Turbo for around $8500 to 9000 and put a Superchute kit on it +$6500 (all said and done) and have $14500 to 16000 into the sled and build boost like a supercharger, have legs like the turbocharger, and have a complete kit you won't have to mess with all year to get running.

Makes sense about all the extras. Looking at an 1100T with 2200 miles for about 9500 up here in Canada that has some upgrades but stock power. Can't leave it stock.:face-icon-small-win
