I know this is a super generic answer, but...
it is a 100% roll of the dice this time of year. I have had some of the deepest days in march, and I have also not even ridden in march.
There is over 80" of snow above 9000' so there will be plenty of base until May!
The best advice I have is to watch the long range forecast, plan a trip around that. As it gets closer use the NOAA forecast seems to be the best (link below.)
Also watch the snotels, specifically the hourly temp. This will give you the best indication of snow condition.

i went on sunday if you could find a place back in the trees that the wind couldnt get to it was good snow otherwise hard and crusty on top a little softer snow under that.
Like said before, march storms can dump 4'+ but they are usually way under forecasted. So usually the locals are the only ones that ever hear about it when it does.

Heading out tomorrow for a week.. Same time every year ten years in a row but been going out there for 16 years. We have always found something decent ( except one year but we went end of March. Last year easter weekend was the BOMB tho. ) Never afraid to look for snow. When you drive twelve hours gotta make the best of it. Looks like a chance Sunday/Monday. but windy till then..( surprise )
