Hey, I'm looking to buy a 09 146" summit 800. I've been hearing little things about weak frames, crappy clutch cluster, ect.... Does anyone know anything about this? If so any feed back would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

720 miles on 09X154.......zero problems that i didnt cause...

I have rolled this sled more than all my others combined with 0, nada, no damage!!!!!!

the only part that could be a little stronger with the type of riding I do is the front bumper.....

dpm solenoid failing
dpm solenoid corroded, needs to be cleaned
dpm vacuum lines falling off
raves sticking
Secondary spring with lower 20~25 lbs lower force installed from factory. (bad spring)
Knock sensor codes in ECU but does not siren on dash.
Overheat codes in ECU but does not siren on dash.

Codes need to be checked with BUDS, then cleared and hopefully the mechanic will toggle the ecu so you are allowed to reset by the owner shutting the engine off.

I think the front ends are more fragile than other sleds out there. Then again I am pretty rough on my equipment. I like to use tree brakes a lot(they are very effective in slowing you down). I had a few problems with belts last year, but after hitting a few trees it seems to be cured.:D No more blown belts in 800 miles. It's definitely the funnest sled I have ever owned.
