With the new 2013 skid mount location, there's a greater risk of the rails stabbing the track.

Been installing a lot of anti stab kits on sleds. Had a customer stab a track last year. It's something you never want to have happen, world comes to a violent stop.

RAIL END CAPS

WENT CROSS COUNTRY RIDING LAST WEEKEND AND HAD TO GET SLED PICKED UP WITH TRUCK. LOST BOTH RAIL END CAPS ON 2013 M1100 LTD 162 BLACK RAILS PROCLIMB. WORE OUT BOTH RAIL ENDS AND HYFAX SLIPPED OUT INTO TRACK WINDOW. DID NOT DAMAGE TRACK BUT NEED 2 NEW RAILS, HYFAX, HYFAX BOLTS AND END CAPS. END CAPS AND RAILS NOT AVAILABLE STOCK FROM A/C. ONE WOULD THINK THAT IF THE END CAPS ARE NOT UP TO STANDARD THAT THEY WOULD HAVE REVISED ONES AVAILABLE? RIDING CONDITION WAS RIDING IN ABOUT 2FT OF SNOW IN OPEN FIELD COUNTRY THAT WAS WIND BLOWN DRIFTS. SUSPECT THAT THE IMPACT OF WIND BLOWN DRIFTS HITTING FRONT OF TRACK BROKE OFF END RAIL CAPS.

Buy yourself a BDX anti-stab kit - comes with new rail caps - and you'll never have problems again.

anti stab kits

Yes keep them in stock just for that reason. Just be glad your not buying a new track.

2 wheel kit for the proclimb - the outside wheels would run on the little nubs on the outside of the track windows so they can't be used.
