i just installed the 3" on my '13 1100t
i also have a '14 m8000

the difference is huge!!!!!!

i used the stock riser on the vert steering that came with the 1100t its only about 2" riser, i think it needs to be more like 4" or so

i will get a couple pics...

Will you do the same on the 14 m8000?

Ive noticed from my vertical post on the 1100 to a adjustable on an 800. My 1100 sits quite a bit farther forward than the 800 does. Some customizing could be done to possibly use the vertical post setup from an 1100. I know the one thing to be changed is the rear post support it would go right over the pull cord but if that was changed it would work

Not an exact science but gives you a visual. As BCIL mentioned above, because of the angle of the standard post it's all in the riser length. Not sure what the riser length is on the standard M8000 but it appears the bar is slightly forward compared to the vert post. Add the C3 block and it moves it further forward.

With just the standard post. It all depends on length of riser because the post angle is so far backwards. I'd say with standard post an a short 3" or less riser you'd be atleast 1.5"-2" more forward.

the stock riser is 6.5” (I looked up the part on country cat)

what about just rotating the riser forward so it is not so leaned back?

That sir is EXSACTLY wat you do not want to do. It makes it steer retarded. Give it a try see wat it does. You gotta keep the riser inline with the post an having the c3 3" makes the post very vertical which helps big time getting rid of the retarded swing.

stupid question: can you still run the goggle holder with the c3 block and the standard post?

also why is the 800 c3 block $65 more than the 1100?

The goggle bag would not work, that would be a give. But it would be really easy mounting the m-series bag under the hood. A number of guys have gone that route. There is a 2" ($73.50) and 3" ($89) C3 block that works on both the 1100 and 800s. Here is the link for the 3" https://www.c3powersports.com/content/2012-arctic-cat-3-post-forward-kit

Not sure where you are seeing the price difference or one specifically made for the 800?????

Interesting, I did not notice that. Maybe the cost for the standard post? That is around $65, retail price from Cat.

Sent them an email, let you know what I hear back.

Just looked at my sled, it probably has something to due with the stock upper intake plenum. That piece will need some semi-major modifactions for the post foward blocks to work. More then just a little remolding with a heat gun. Maybe you could get away with a little heat treatment with the 2" but doughtful with the 3" Has anyone installed these on an 800 with a complete stockhood/intake? I will post the response to my questions, if/when I receive it.

I ordered my 3" post forward block for my 800 and I was confused with the additional money as well so I phoned them to see what the deal was. The guy admitted he wasn't very familiar with the part but he said that it probably has something to do with a different cross member that is needed to move the post. I asked him if the kit came with a modification for the air intake as it was listed on the website at the time I ordered it and he said that it did not come with any air box mod, they were going to provide a fix but decided not to. I am running reapers cold air intake so I didn't have to worry about it anyway. Hope the block is here soon I ordered it on the 12 of jan.

When you receive it, please post up what all comes with the kit. Thanks.
