Finally got my sled running, turned out to be some spark plugs that were showing some resitance, so it wouldnt fire...

anyways, went for a little drive, about 20 miles from campus at Montana Tech in Butte, then unloaded and had a little fun, it was much more set up than other pics from montana, the snow was a little on top, but underneath it was super fluffy. ran into some guys who were up logging, and they said were they had stopped plowing the road about 2 miles from where i parked there was like 4-5 feet of snow!! i think im gonna go back out later in the week for anther little spin around. pics to prove it happened!!

guys logging said there were about 4-5 feet up the road a little ways, i was riding on 2-3

so i think its gonna be fine, and its a really short drive from town, takes right around a half hour to get there from campus.

i beleive i parked at the campground, about 9 miles in roosevelt.... its right where you sorta cut east and roosevelt runs into a bunch of huge meadows? if so yes, thats were i parked, loggers said that its about 2 feet deeper up a few miles where theys stopped plowing!

i've hunted that area a couple years know, should try to get up to the radio tower, always thought it would be fun with a sled:beer;:beer;:beer;

its actually a lookout on red mountain i beleive... as per pics posted on google earth and thats what it looked like from where i was.

problem is all the snow blows off that ridge, there was tons on the sides, but up the center was all rocks!!

I tried to get up there myspef last weekend but all my ridin buds went antelope hunting. Glad to see the snow coming early

get your sled ready!! i think im going again thursday up a little farther. supposed to be more snow.... and its fun to go riding this early, im still getting in shape... the 5 miles i put on my sled made me sore.
