getting rid of the maverick and want to go with the challanger extreme 2.5x16x162 3'' pitch and avid drivers.can it be done or do i have to stick with 2.25''?
it's going on a apex with stock tunnel for now.need it to hook up better hopeully this does the trick. thanks

i got that set up on my apex but with the lugs cut down to 2.25in. There should be plenty of clearence to run the 2.5in. You can always do a drop and roll or an extended chaincase and run 8tooth drivers if you want.

I just put the CE in my 04 RX-1 w/o any issues. Also I have seen many with the extreme on their Apexs w/o any issues. You should be good to go.

I'm running Cammo Ext..174' x 16'' x 2 1/2. Stock tunnel. Works awesome. Had to replace snow flap and modify it a little.

No issues.

so yes you'll be fine.

I just put a 15 x 2.25 x 162 on my Nytro and it was enough. I also went with Ice Age rails. With this combo the sled handled way different than stock, Better in my opinion.

Will a stock Apex be better off with a 162 extreme compared to a 174, as far as power handling/turning. Anyone non-turboed running the 174?
