dummy warmers

so I read through all the other hand warmer threads and didn't find what I needed. I abandoned the stock hand warmer plugs and used another power source to power a separate switch and warmer elements. now without the stock warmers plugged in the engine light comes on, has anyone figured out how to wire around this with some "dummy warmers to fool the ecu, the warmer resistance is 6.12-7.48 ohms so I tried an 8 ohm resister since that is the closest one I could fine to no avail, any help would be appreciated

it is an 08 nytro

so I retried my resistores again, one on each hand warmer lead, and it worked this time, so no more engine light, hope this helps anyone else
