What is the difference between the 98 model cylinders (3005-244) and 99/00 cylinders (3005-431). The Cat parts book says the 431 is the replacement part for the 244, but when I check my compression 244 has 130 and 431 has 105. What gives here?

Thanks, Sprocket

As far as I know, they redesigned the tabs on the bottom of the cylinder so that they wouldn't break off and knock a hole in the case.

Shouldn't have anything to do with compression.

There could be more differences than I know about, we'll see what anyone else says.
