Yeah Bush the super capitalist speaks and people sneer, while Roosevelt the socialist madman spoke and people believed
That assertion does not seem to be born out judging by the responders to this thread. Were you around from 1933-1945? FDR took us into WWII. I can just see liberals marching in the streets chanting no more war and that Hitler never attacked the US so we should not get involved. Then Japan bombed Pearl because we should have never even been there in the first place? Had to be our own fault on that one huh? FDR also established Japanese internment camps in the US too. That fact alone would have led to liberals calling him the next Hitler... oops Hitler was a fine man I guess so they'd had to drag some other nonsensical association into it.

Bush being the son of privilege who never had to worry about his reputation, when he became President he forgot that his papa and mama couldn't rescue him from his lies anymore. Made Nixon look like a saint.
FDR's father, James Roosevelt, and his mother, Sara Ann Delano, were each from wealthy old New York families. I'm guessing you would have had a problem with them as well? You sound as if having money or god forbid, being born into money makes you somehow dishonest and unworthy of any sort of respect?

You are perfect example of what this country is up against. You have no real understanding of the issues not even the ones you bring up. One can debate and disagree on policies but at least base it on actual facts and leave the personal diatribes out of it. It weakens your argument substantially when the meat of your statement revolves around someone's mommy & daddy. All that aside pick an issue and let's go just like I told after your original reply.

Capitalism(seems to be a sore point for you) good or bad?

Capitalism in your opinion must be privatise the profits and the taxpayers will cover your loses?

If you honestly beleive Bush has done a great or even fair job of runing this country for the average American this whole thing is a waste of time. Our debt is now over 10 trillion freaking dollars and you can blame previous administations but you were in power for 8 fn years under the greatest economic growth and you added 4 trillion dollars of debt, I don't care what your name is you should go to jail.

I do believe Obama will be worse for everyone involved and I don't think he has a clue of what he is doing, Mcain if he wins will keep the status quo and we will be a country at the mercy of the corrupt banksters of Wall Street and they will suck every last nickel out of the US taxpayers until we are in the great depression 2,

I'll sift through the mediocre grammar and assume you are questioning the bailout? I was 100% against it. I am not a huge fan of Bush or McCain. I do think Bush has done well in areas of national security. The economy is cyclical. Political winds are cyclical. For that matter everything in life is cyclical. My problem is with those who then incorrectly assign cycles, be them good or bad to those who happen to be in office at the time. Regarding the growth of gov't spending. I agree, Bush has grown gov't more than any democrat in history. What is most amusing about that is he is now being derided by liberals for doing so. The hypocrisy is astounding. You start off with semi intelligent debate but quickly slip into full Bush derangement syndrome mode by suggesting he should go to jail for being in office during a down cycle in the economy. Is anyone familiar with Glass-Steagall Banking Act of 1933? If you want to understand the current market malaise, study that act. Also, study how it has been eroded over time and who did the eroding. Bush in fact tried to re-strengthen it but congress under the control of Democrats blocked it. In any case I work with and am friends with lots of very smart people. MIT Ph.D.'s and other engineering types. Most of them are very liberal. I'm used to debating with people who can go into details regarding their belief systems. Sending me PMs and name calling doesn't even get my attention. If you can't debate on some intellectual level, don't bother pestering me lol. I couldn't care less. Go do your homework on the Glass-Steagall Act and get back to me with your analysis.

If you mean the repeal of Glass Steagall it was Wall Street not Clinton that forced that. I am here to call names and stir up crap so deal with it.

I am sure you and your Md Mit rowing buddies didn't see what the hell was going on back in 2005 or where we are heading in 2010 so your name dropping doesn't impress me one bit Edward.
Never sent you a pm or want to debate you ( I didn't make the debating team this year) that's really funny, I think you need to go warm up your Brandy and put some more grey poupon on your truffles or whatever your pompass *** types do.

Wall Street "forced it"? How do you figure? Why did Clinton sign it? Lots of people knew the sub prime lending bubble was going to pop a long time ago. I'm not asking you to debate, just have a clue what you're arguing about. I make fun of my PhD buddies when they start losing the argument and their cools just like you're doing lol.

HE BETRAYED OUR TRUST! bellowed the fat-arsed proto-type greenie.

When Obama takes office in January the thousands who made such good sport of thrashing W are faced with a huge hole in their lives. They can still carry on with the crazy anti-Bush banter but they wont derive the same orgasmic pleasure from it. Besides, the American public will forget who the last president was in matter of months and the tirade wont have meaning to them.

Wonder how Obama will handle the media? When all he's had to say to get elected is "change" and He's like Bush %83 of the time. I hope that Obama enjoys the same level of scrutiny as W did. Maybe after a while some of the folks out there in voter land will regret that they were old enough to vote.

The funny part is the true partisans will not be able to admit to the mistakes Obama will make no more than the Bush partisans are able to admit to his mistakes. That accounts for about 10% of all biatcher's and biatching. The remaining 90% of the public will complain and biatch about Obama just like they complain and biatch about Bush. It's just their nature to complain and biatch in general.

Ok, but admit you still know nothing about complex numbers lol. Stop PM'ing you drunka$$ black bastard.

You don't hear the Bush bashers bashing Clinton for signing the repeal of Glass-Steagall. That is a perfect example of the inherit disingenuous of politics and why it's so disgusting.
