What Fox shocks should I get?

I am looking for some advice on Fox shocks. I just purchased a 2016 and want to upgrade the shocks.

I can buy the Fox 3 evol QS3-R for $1,394. (has main chamber and evol chamber)

Or

I can buy the Fox Float 3 Evol-R for $1,094. (has evol chamber)

Or

I can buy the Fox Float 3 Evol for $794. (has evol chamber)

I can add the QS3 clicker for $99.

I am an avid tree rider and don't really jump big. Any advice on the differences would be valuable. Right now I do not see a reason to not do the Float 3 Evol with the QS3 upgrade. What does the main chamber do??

Thanks
Cody

To me the Fox 3 evol QS3-R is over kill for most mountain applications, big shock package and lots of adjustability.

The Fox 3 evol R is a nice shock with adjustable rebound, again lots won't take advantage of the adjustable rebound.

Fox 3 Evol with the Qs3 would be my first pick. I don't tinker lots with shocks I set them and ride, might change main chamber and evol chamber 1-2times a year. I wouldn't utilize the adjustable rebound for the added price. The QS3 upgrade would be really nice quick adjustment for rough trail ride up then switch once you get to the fresh stuff.

I had Exit X1's on my last sled. Most of the time they could be considered overkill but man did they ride well. Keep in mind that even if you don't go big, it's worth having a shock that rebounds well. If you are on a budget then choose wisely! Also understand that dialing in the shocks can be tough with all those adjustments. Zbroz treated me good by getting my weight, riding style and sled details to fine tune my ride. I'm not trying to convince you to go with Zbroz, just telling my experience. Perhaps whomever you buy your Fox shocks through can help as well. Sometimes you have to buy a better shock!

If you're not completely set on Fox shocks, I highly recommend Raptor shocks, all four of them......

walkerevens piggy back clickers, best shock i ever used, ripped the a-arms off three times and never bent the shock, also handled big jumps well

Ummm ...... Let me know if you want to buy my new 16 WE clickers. I'll knock off $200 from retail. I'm going with aftermarket. Once you use good aftermarket shocks, it's hard to use OEM.

float 3 evol r Brandt edition

I was always skeptical about the float shocks. Loved the weight savings and the adjust-ability, yet wasn't sure about durability.

Came across a great deal and pulled the trigger this year.

Rode with them for the first time last weekend for about 33 miles and all i can say is wow. 2014 Pro rmk, stock everything(power wise). The sled rode like a Cadillac, took some harder hits very well.

I was more than impressed with the ride quality and initial set up( i basically used the numbers from Skinz shock therapy as a baseline).
