I took my work truck into the tire shop today to get a new set of tires put on it because the factory Bridgestone tires are garbage ...

I got a set of Cooper Discoverer STT's in 245/75/16 trim ... $250 per tire :eek::eek::eek:

I need to put a new set of tires on my personal truck here before too much longer, so I asked her to quote me a set of 265/75/16 BFG AT KO's ...

They were $297.00 per tire.

What the F*CKING HELL?????

Last time I bought that EXACT SAME TIRE in 2005 they were $165 a peice ..

Have prices gone up that much everywhere, or is it just Vernal UT bull****?

I didn't pay that much for my last set of 275-65-18 load range C goodyear wranglers. I think they ran like 175 a tire.

I sell the same tire at $853 after tax, out the door, but ther again, there are two big cities within 2 hrs that I have to compete with.

I just got a set of Maxxis Bighorns from Les Schwab in 315/75/r16 for $850 for the set, mounted and balanced. If you don't have a decent tire dealer around you, go to 4wheelparts.com and they'll usually get whatever you want to you cheaper than about anywhere, but I do try to shop local if they're even close on the price.

jebus that sounds pricey, a couple months ago i bought some i believe 315/75-16 (roughly 35") mickey thompson ATZ's for about $235 a piece at our local offroad shop. thats dam near as cheap as any of the regular tire shops wanted for 285s around here. i dont deal much with the tire shops any more, especially the les schwab thats up here they're rediculous.

WOW... Last set of those I put on my '01 3/4 ton (July '08) I paid just under $1000 CDN installed and balanced. Got them at the GM dealer. Best price I could find.
