you and i both...a straight 78/9 F250 is hard to find and if you do its worth gold unless they dont know what it is. If you're really willing to travel, i have access to about 5 acres of 68-93 fords in all stages.

I have a 79 f-250 Lariate 460 built to the hilt,but needs body rebuilt.rusty it is hard to find a super cab in good shape these days,you will be looking at 6000 plus.

My 79 s/c was the best truck I have ever owned. I would still have it if a pizza delivery driver had not run a stop sign at a blind intersection. Rolled my f250 with a caboverover camper on it. It was a total. twisted the frame badly. I miss that truck every day. That was 12 years ago and have been looking for a good one ever since.

thats too bad man. its my dream truck, I've found a few out there but some are too rough and others are spotless and they want a pile of money for them. I just think it would be sick to have one and throw a cummins in it. you've got the best of both worlds with that, a bullet proof truck and a bullet proof motor. not to mention all the heads you'll turn.

If anyone is lookin for a well built (1 tons, lockers, gears, 4 wheel disks, EFI BBF, NP 205/435) let me know. 6/3" lift, on 40's, 12k pound winch, etc. Very capable truck, but again, the body isn't awesome. Easilly fixable for a decent body man, or a great candidate for a supercab short swap. Built it over the past 4 or so years, and is a great truck.

Standard cabs are every where. It is the supercabs that were rare as they wherre only made in the straight axle for those 2 years. That is the one that we are after.

One of my buddies was able to find a really nice one. It was some old ladies husbands and when he passed away she sold it dirt cheep because she didn't think it was worth anything. Well needless to say My buddy bought it without looking at it and this thing is in mint condition. We are working on restoring his highboy now then after that we are going to restore my 78 and then after mine we are going to do the crew cab can't wait to see them all done in a few years.

I have a VERY rare 1978 ford F350 super cab long box, 4x4 dana 60 front and rear. Frame off resto 4 yrs ago. powder coated frame. Color is 2000 Corvette Yellow. Engine is a 400m Tranny is a B&M C-6. From what I'm told there is not many of these trucks left. Im not sure what I want for it but we can talk.

Wow, that must be rare! I have never seen or heard of one. That would be one sweet ride. That would be hard to part with. But, like they say, everything is for sale if the price is right

78-79 Ford Trucks were the best years of FORD trucks hands down
