Underhood goggle holder/warmer----does it work?

M1000 has the warmer mounts down low on the inside of the hood, by the intake.
I have not had much luck with this, seems the M8 mounting area is more effective, but my brother melted a set already...

I wouldn't say this holder/warmer is a substitute for backup goggles in your pack.

I have one on my M8, It hasn't melted the goggles yet, and it gotten plenty hot under there. Hot enough to slightly melt my oil cap... No damage to the goggles though.

Works great for me

Works great for me, and there is nothing like putting on nice warm, dry goggles. I know about 10-20 others that just love it as well.:)

yes the m1000 pipe is much tighter to the bag. we've been buying the nylon bag from bimart for $6 and then riveting the nylon tabs on the bag to the heat shield over the steering stem. works great on my M8.

I love my goggle warmer bag. I carry 3-4 pairs with me and rotate them through the bag as needed. 1000 miles on 08 M10 with SLP pipe it's close and the bag is a little weathered but works good. 09 with a D&D pipe has way more clearance. The instructions for the 1000 say to zip tie to the hood harness but I did not think it would be warm enough. It's kinda like cooking in your muff pot trying to place it where you can dry them fast enough without burning them up.

been out three times so far and I havent found any problem with it. putting on nice warm goggles is the best(if your sled isnt moving anyway).

I got a real nice black leather shaving bag zip tied under the hood of my sled, cost me $10 at K-Mart, works great, looks great.

Has anyone had any issuses with the fiberglass fallout in the bag. I noticed there was a bunch in the bag i looked at. That would suck getting that all over your goggles..

It would be cool if you guys could post some pic of your homemade 1's

Thanks 907KB

bought one for my m1000.. but havent mounted it yet.. dont like the hood idea.. and the pipes is just too close.. so.............

cat bargains shipping outta line

just went through there site to order some stuff and got to the end of checkout...what was a good deal turned south with the shipping charges.'

ouch

skinner.. has to be an m8.. or an aftermarket pipe on the 1000.. cause mine would touch the pipe for about 2.5" if mounted in that location

They work

I have put them on many M1000 and they work fine I have never had a customer complain about it melting Goggles or over heating them. Maybe in spring riding but used them last year no problems. One of the best thing cat has for accessories THAT AND KNEE PADS A MUST.

In fact the guy that owned that turbo before you had one on it and loved it.
