Track vibrate

Hi

I have a Nytro mtx 153 with a power claw track and iceage/timbersled skid.

Track vibrate at 23 mph, feels that it comes from the drivers area.

It decreases slightly when the speed increases, my buddy have a Nytro 144 with a back country track with nonslip. And it is absolutely no vibration.

Have measured the drivers, and it is correct and the track is centered.

Have no idler wheels and is wondering if some anti stab wheels in front helps ?

Thanks

noticed alot of vibration with the camo extreme track as well. first time I've used it. think the stiffer lug is the cause. is the powder claw a stiff track??

The MTX 153 comes with Extrovert drivers from the factory, the XTX 144 does not. Big difference in how much vibration your going to feel. Eric

He also have extroverts, ski-doo type. And yes the power claw is pritty stiff.

Which extros are you running?
Stock or combo drivers?
I ran a PC with no vibration on my Nytro. If you are running a PC with combo drivers did you clip the little nubs next to the windows?
Are the drivers timed correctly?
Did a driver spin on the driveshaft?(fairly common on Nytros)

Stock new drivers, all arrows are correct on the drivers. Did not clip the nubs.
Do not know the exact measurement, but it looks good

Starts at 20mph and end at 30, its still there i think. But not that noticeably.

Check your belt and might even throw your spare on there to see if that's the issue. Also check your chaincase, see if the oil is at the appropriate line and that the chain tensioner is correctly set. If the drivers all look good then it's time to look somewhere else.

i have a question along the same line. I'm running a timbersled 162" read with a CE and avid drivers and antistab kit how loose are you guys running you're tracks? I set mine to about 1.5" pulled down from the center of the skid and figure it the track will stretch a little the first few hundred miles. just wondering what everyone is setting there's at.

Took me a ride today, the same sound and vibration. Going to try to tighten the track a bit and change belt ( looks ok ). Look at the bearings mabye. Re tight the chain. So we'll see how it will be after that.

I found the same issue last week when I rode. Lots of vibration but it was only on the hard pack trails once i got in some snow it went away. I can only figure it was from CE track the lugs are super stiff and long for the trails. I checked the chain case and tigthened my track a little too. For some reason my chain case oil was a little low don't know why there was no sign of any leaks and no oil anywhere. I was running my track at 1.75 inches of hang but i tigthened it to 1.5 inches see if that will make a difference. I felt like it was ratcheting when i landed after a jump so i adjusted my supension a little too. see it how it works this week.

both my vector and nytro have had that problem. A friends apex has the problem, each has the CE track. i just gave up on tying to figure out what it was. I was pushing the drivers around on the shaft trying to see if it helped, it did a bit.

the vibration is the CE track and not the drivers. my apex had zero vibration b4 switching to CE and anyone that i know that runs a CE has the same result. i beleive its because the the base of lugs on the track are stiffer so the track does not bend smoothly around the drivers. the vibration has not caused any problems for me.

i'm not too concerned about it. The CE track is super stiff and it's not made for the trails. It sure is awesome once it's in the snow though and the vibration goes away.

I don't have the CE but just the Challenger and it too has a bit of vibration. I checked everywhere else but couldn't find anything.....Sherm

I'm sure you checked but I run the PC and ice accumulation will make mine viberate some. I also noticed my stock drivers ride pretty close to the outside of the windows. No real problems that I can see.
