The stock torsions in my 165 g5 expert have a spring rate of 1.27 with an opening angle of 95. The g4 had the same 1.27 rate but with an opening angle of 80. I believe The larger opening angle on the g5 springs effectively reduces the pre load. With my jerry can and large tunnel bag my sled had 6in of sag sitting in the shop. Totally useless. I did 13% stiffer springs with an 80 angle and it was the single best improvement I made to my sled. Well other the hyvo’s after the China chain popped lol
