What is the best base weight to start out with. I have a mxc nytro mtx ride at 2000ft. Some mountain riding. Also buying a shockwave.

Start with 60 gram base. I actually have a set for sale for a yammie with a lot of extra tungsten washers to get ya over 80 grams per weight.
As Turk said, 60g.
And with the washers that follows you can load the weights up to 90g.
2 tungsten = 14g and 16 washers = 16g = 30g / weight.
